I was curious what schools were included in the green rating review? I did a quick query for my campus and didn't find anything which surprised me given our various sustainability initiatives.

Jerry,
Thank you for your comment. 535 colleges participated with complete surveys. On the Princeton Review website the Green Rating can be found under Campus Life/Facilities. Here is one example (Arizona State University): http://www.princetonreview.com/schools/college/CollegeCampusLife.aspx?iid=1023376

For more information on the benefits to student quality of life and career preparation of schools with good practices see: http://www.princetonreview.com/green

Also, 2,000 universities were given the opportunity to participate.

I would very much like to know how the data on which the Green Rating was gathered and verified. The university at which I teach received a very high score. This comes as a major surprise to all of us here. How do you know your ratings are based on accurate and reliable information?

The survey by the Princeton Review reaches nearly all four year undergraduate universities. Based on the Princeton Review's close relationships with schools, they rely on schools to submit the most accurate and up-to-date data available.

It is in the best interest of the schools to provide accurate information given the high visibility of the ratings.
